Any ideas where I should go on vacation at the end of October where I would feel comfortable?

Question by Gabfest: Any ideas where I should go on vacation at the end of October where I would feel comfortable?
I have between 9 and 11 days available and I would be travelling as a single woman travelling alone so safety and comfort are a concern. I’ve been thinking about Buenos Aires but I don’t speak Spanish. Any other suggestions?

Take a cruise. Being alone isn’t an issue, especialy if you take a singles cruise.

I’m female as well and have travelled all over Europe alone. try Spain! I think Buenos Aires would be safe if you keep your wits about you too though. I would do it! And I don’t know much Spanish. Have a great time! I’m jealous!

do a 7-10 day cruise…all of them have ‘singles’ packages and you will have the time of your life! AND…cheap as well! Carnival is awesome for them and Princess is nice.. a bit priceier but a bit upgraded. Get the CHEAPEST room you can, because all you will do is sleep in it! Too much going on to pay the extra for the upgraded rooms! Good luck and have fun!

Last October we went to Disney in Florida the weather was beautiful, and not too hot but warm enuf to go to the water parks it also really only cost us about 1500 for 8 days plus all our food was included FOR FREE (Disney Dining Plan). If you go to disney.com you can plan the whole thing.

Key West: a nice, safe little town.
Anywhere in the Appalaichan mountains will be beautiful. I like Asheville, NC.
If you are really alone, you can always “journey to the center of your mind,” a la the Amboy Dukes 1968.
