Q&A: How to tune myself for “short term dating”?

Question by JJB: How to tune myself for “short term dating”?
I’ve only been in long term relationships before. But this girl I’m seeing is going to leave the country by this coming summer, because she’s temporarily here for job.
I’m not sure how the “pace” of short term dating goes.
How soon should we tackle on things? My guess is that making out in a few dates, sex in a couple months is good enough.
Any tips from short term dating experts?

you dont have to cram a year’s wrorth of dating into a few motnhs. just because you dont have sex doens’t mean a relationship isnt fufilling. go at the pace you feel comfortable at, don’t get too attached, or just staying single would be easiest.

Keep it very simple, dont consider the time spent as “dates” its just having fun together. Dont buy gifts or do anything that would be seen as badform aka asking questions about other boyfriends and the such. Remember she isnt YOUR girl, so if she goes dancing with someone else then whatever just remember to always cut yourself back in.

Idk its pretty simple. Dont overthink is the best advice i can give you, its all about living in the moment and not trying to bring future or past things into the mix.

Just let things happen man, you go in with a plan then its over for you that will kill the romance before it starts.
