“The Summoner” and “The Blood King” by Gail Z. Martin,

  • cinderella

The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. They’re the best books I’ve ever read.

I’m going to say “Gulliver’s Travels” by Jonathan Swift. Definitely not my favorite book, but it -is- enjoyable, it -is- brilliant, and it can be read on several different levels.

A political satire that can be read by younger adults as a fantasy. And every time you read it, you’re able to garner more out of it.

Of course, ‘best’ is subjective, so you’re not going to get a single answer, and this -is- only my opinion. And I chose the book because ‘yah-dee yah-dee ya’ made me lose just a little more faith in humanity just now…

EDIT: On any other day, I would probably agree with ‘Why So Serious (Epiphany)’ on “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” That is seriously one -amazing- book, with an absolutely brilliant moral.

The first answer is completely pathetic and disturbing. If I meet one more person who thinks Twilight even COMPARES to good literature, I will punch someone in the mouth.

Anyway, I think Night by Elie Wiesel was a very powerful piece. It’s nonfiction, which creates an impacts. Also, Pride and Prejudice is very good a well. I cannot decide.

I like Animal Farm, too. However, I believe that the two best books ever written are Dune by Frank Herbert and The Lord of the Rings by John Tolkien.

    Hi !
The History of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides .

The History of the Peloponnesian War is an account of the Peloponnesian War in Ancient Greece, fought between the Peloponnesian League (led by Sparta) and the Delian League (led by Athens). It was written by Thucydides, an Athenian general who served in the war. It is widely considered a classic and regarded as one of the earliest scholarly works of history. The History was divided into eight books by editors of later antiquity.

These questions are so hard for me. I hardly ever answer them. Here I am though, and I’m going to have to say War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy.

Sometimes it’s my favorite book, sometimes it isn’t, but the reason I choose it is because it has everything one can possibly look for in a novel, and all those things work together to form a stunning and nearly flawless whole. It has tragedy and comedy and satire. Wit and depth and mundanity. Pathos and bathos. Romance, warfare, bloodshed and justice.Humanity, doubt and spirituality. History, philosophy, drama and poetry. Everything, and it never loses sight of its story. Genius, pure and simple. I’ve never tired of it and I never will.
